Joe Mettle Receives Boomplay Award For “Wind of Revival” Album

Africa’s biggest streaming service; Boomplay has been started distributing plaques to top streaming artistes on the platform. The fourth to receive this award is Ghanaian gospel singer Joe Mettle for his album “Wind of Revival” which was released in 2019.

Over the past couple of years, Joe Mettle has grown a huge following through his music and gained massive following for his music on Boomplay too. Currently, the artiste’s total streams stands at 7.4 million and counting.

Excited about his awards, Joe Mettle expressed his appreciation to Boomplay for the support over the years. He also thanked his fans and management for their support.

NSG (The name NSG stands for Never Stop Growing) However, according to the group themselves, ‘NSG‘ is simply a lifestyle. “Initially, it was NSG. Obviously gang, non-stop grinding, non-stop goals,” Kruddz says. “Anything you want to make it if it applies to your life. That’s a lifestyle.”

“You don’t have just one lifestyle, you can have your cover lifestyle, working hard lifestyle,” he adds. “There’s not just one meaning.”

NSG is an Afro-bashment Rap collective Group from East London consisting of six members, Kruddz, Mxjib, Mojo, OGD, Dope, and Papii Abz, the NSG members are all of either Ghanian and Nigerian descent and specialize in Afro-bashment, the afro-bashment group originated from Hackney, East London. Five out of six members of the group all attended secondary school together, with Mojo being the exception, but all members grew up in the same area.

The Group released their first single “Whine and Kotch” in December 2013. later that year the group was soon taken under the wing of English rapper J Hus, and his producer Jae5 and scored their first chart single with Options featuring Tion Wayne in 2019. The group also became the first-ever Number 1 on the Official UK Afrobeats Chart when the Official Charts Company-compiled chart launched in July 2020.
